Jefferson is dedicated to fostering an environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging — including our colleagues, patients, students, health plan members, and the communities we serve. We aim to create a culture where all individuals are respected and our actions consistently reflect our core values and achieve better health outcomes for all.
Ensuring High-Quality, Patient-Centered Care
The Office of Community Impact & Belonging plays a key role in ensuring that Jefferson continues to provide patient-centered care that addresses the unique needs of the diverse communities we serve.
This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and mandates, such as providing medically qualified interpreters for patients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and ASL interpreters for deaf patients and their families.
To improve health outcomes, enhance patient safety, and boost overall satisfaction, the Enterprise Office of Community Impact & Belonging offers training sessions that help hospital staff and students develop the skills necessary to deliver effective care to all patients.
